- Grofé: Grand Canyon Suite
Celebrate a belated St. Patrick’s Day with Ralph Vaughn Williams’ arrangement of a beloved traditional Irish folk tune. Ferde Grofé’s 1931 musical portrait of that often-visited natural landmark in northwest Arizona, in which he depicts the painted desert and a long ride on a stubborn mule, is still the most popular of his many “Americana” suites.
Tiffany Cromartie made her professional opera debut after graduating from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Vocal Performance. As a recital artist, she has given concerts in several cities across the United States and abroad. Most recently, she was a featured soloist with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus. Ms. Cromartie was a winner of the National Opera Association Competition and named Singer of the Year. She has also appeared in musical theater roles.
